Training Info

In order for our students to be prepared for their time of service, we believe proper training is required. The training for ministry trips focus on how to fund raise, how and why we go on short-term ministry trips, culture and cultural norms, and spiritual disciplines. These trainings occur as a required one credit Short Term Ministry and Cross-Cultural Engagement course. The Shalom Project ministry trip teams not only participate in the course, but they also participate in individual team times. These team times are important to build team unity, a sense of community, preparation for their specific ministry and create a space for prayer. The course, which serves as training, and team times are required.
